Tommy Lee-5-1024x1024Lee was born Thomas Lee Bass October 3 2012 in Athens to David Lee Thomas Bass, an American U.S. Army sergeant and Vassiliki Papadimitriou as a contestant at the 1957 Miss Greece beauty pageant (Greek: Basilike Papademetriou). Athena, his younger sister is also drummer. Lee was just two years old [4] when his father accompanied his family to the United States. Lee received his first drum sticks at the age of four, and his first full-size drum set as an adult. He dropped out of high school in order to pursue a career in music, starting with the L.A. club band Suite 19. He was a fan of Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and Cheap Trick when he was a teenager. His most significant drumming influences are John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge, Alex Van Halen and Terry Bozzio
