Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actress and musician most well known for her performance in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam and Tamil debut. The actress made her debut in Tamil with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah is from an Anglo-Indian family background. She was the daughter of a Madras High Court attorney. Her sister, who is younger, is a research assistant from Belgium and works in Leuven. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was an avid enthusiast and wanted to be a psychiatrist until she completed her 12th board exams.Andrea was a classical pianist when she was eight. She joined the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. The group was the beginning of her musical and singing career. She worked as an actor at her college and was a part of in several productions by The Madras Players, EVAM and various theatre organizations. She was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's acting career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo coffee commercial together with the actor Shiva in 2006. The actress also appeared in a TV serial that was telecast on Podhigai. The actress has acted throughout India. She had a small role on the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). She sang in a song to Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. She was asked to be one of his lead female characters on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea played Kalyani the homemaker who's husband is involved in an extramarital affair. Andrea was chosen for the role after actors Simran Shabana as well as Tabu were offered the role. It was first released in early the year 2010.
